-No Country For Old Men most recently, I simply couldn't get it out of my mind.
-2001: A Space Odyssey is always intensely thought-provoking.
-L'Avventura is a movie that I initially hated, and maybe still do, but after not being able to get it out of my head for nearly a full year I'm thinking that the movie deserves to be watched again.
-Last Year at Marienbad recently keeps creeping back into my mind.
-Raging Bull is always popping back up in my mind, same with Citizen Kane and the Godfather, just ruminating over how brilliant they are, and why.
-Aguirre, The Wrath of God, again just because of how great it is, but also because of how strange and haunting it is, especially a few specific scenes/shots. Though this is true of several Herzog films.
-Paprika kept me thinking for a while. |
