Fuck Transformers Forum: JoBlo | | While neither movie warrants a re-watch (even though I had to watch Tformers multiple times for a school paper - more on that later), one of the films knew it was ridiculous and ludicrious and did not take itself seriously. The OTHER FILM (Transformers cough cough) treated itself quite seriously and embarrassed the fuck out of itself. Proving once again, that Michael Bay is an absolute IDIOT. I nearly went insane analyzing this movie over and over again for a film paper. Have you guys heard of David Bordwell and his theory on intensified continuity? He basically claims that we don't exist in a postclassical Hollywood, but rather a time when tried and true filmmaking techniques from the classical age have just been modified in today's films and not ignored. I sought to prove that these tried and true techniques still exist in film...and with Transformers...the ONLY thing going through my mind was: target audience: 5 years old. That has to explain it. Michael Bay makes movies for babies. There's no other way around it - this movie spoon feeds you every last bit of nauseating material until you want to puke. I fucking HATE this movie. I call it "The Karate Kid for Retards." I apologize to anyone that is or knows anyone mentally challenged, but my anger for this movie easily overcomes my desire to remain politically correct. Michael Bay assumes each one of his audience members are FOOLS - and for that - YOU SIR ARE AN ASSHOLE. Fuck this movie. Fuck it fuck it fuck it and FUCK MICHAEL BAY. /rant. |
