| I loved this movie, I am a big fan of the original film version, and I really enjoyed the HG Wells novel. The only thing that I did not like was the fate of his son, who before the finish was last seen running up and over a hill. Everything and everyone that went over said hill was basically napalmed, yet the son appears in Boston ahead of his father and sister. Not only that, but he showed absolutely no signs of having been so much as burned by the heat of the blaze. That really is my only gripe with the film, otherwise it started, fleshed out, and ended wonderfully. |
