Very good point. Also, if they showed the entire story in the trailer, people would be complaining about knowing too much or that they gave away everything. I suppose a teaser should lay everything out. I don't remember people complaining this much when the Dark Knight released a teaser with only voice over narration. That is one thing I am happy about: they're marketing this more to fans than to general audiences. The fact that we're even seeing the Watchmen title/logo says a lot to fans. Let's face it, general audiences in America have the attention span of a gnat. They'll flock to any piece of crap for the sake of seeing a movie.
