He already has people hooked from Iron Man. Plus, Pineapple being a stoner movie might turn off some people. Again, Thunder will win its weekend, but that's a whole week and two days after Pineapple has been released, so there's absolutely no surprise or argument there. Downey will definitely attract a lot of people, and Thunder will probably finish with more than Pineapple, but Pineapple will still probably finish with around $120 million or so. The marketing has been flawless, with green-band trailers, red-band trailers, plenty of TV spots including a few that have raving quotes from the best of critics, all of which include a song that people are seemingly falling in love with. But let's leave that stuff for the "box-office numbers" thread.
