Forum: JoBlo | | It's been only a few hours since I saw "The Mist." And I can think of nothing else but that movie and it's ending. My God, I never expected that to happen. The entire movie I really enjoyed. I haven't seen a movie based on a Stephen King novel since "Desperation." The Mist was scary, gory and genuinely frightening at times. It was a long movie, but that didn't bother me. It was the last 20 minutes or so that really got to me and shook me up emotionally. Daymn! Did the movie affect anyone else like this? And what did you all think of the movie as a whole and the ending? Spoilers Below [swipe to read] Those creatures from the other dimension were all terrifying and so relentless in their attack on those trapped people. I mean they were everywhere. The last huge monster was intimidating and so freaky. After that, all seemed lost when they eventually ran out of gas and decided to end it all. Then when Thomas Jane killed the occupants of his car, including his only son. That got to me really bad. Jane was outstanding I thought. And when the tank and the army became visible. You realise that he killed his only child and 3 other innocent people for absolutely nothing. Plus Jane's crazy screaming made me feel uneasy. Afterwards, two soldiers stop near him and see he's going/gone insane at what has transpired. What made it a little bit more intense for me was that mournful womans voice singing. I loved this movie. What a journey. |
