Is this an actual list composed by an actual writer or did someone just decide to slap a bunch of poorly-titled films together and call it a list? Yeah, okay, sure. Some of these movies are truly abysmal. Last Action Hero, yes. It's a hot mess of a satire-gone-bad. (That animated cat nonsense still makes me wince.) Cool As Ice, duh. Anything but. (Haven't seen it, but can only imagine the world of awful contained within.) But Dude, Where's My Car? Come on. It's so intentionally bad that it's...well...still pretty bad, but somehow forgivable. To me, putting that on a supposed list of "Worst Movies Ever" sort of invalidates the very list itself as there are countless, well-intentioned yet painfully flawed movies out there that probably deserve due attention. That this list overlooks the recent spate of Eddie Murphy and Adam Sandler movies alone gives me pause. |
