Overall, I am pretty pleased with the nominations, but there were some questionable calls. Zodiac and Before the Devil Knows You're Dead with absolutely no nominations at all. That is fucking bullshit. Two movies, one of which is in my top 10 of the year, and the other in my top 20 and neither of them get one nomination. And it has nothing to do with release obviously because fucking NORBIT got a goddam nomination. What the fuck?!? Didn't that come out like last February? It was just Eddie Murphy in a fat suit. They might as well have given it to Alpha Dog for Sharon Stone's fat suit. I mean seriously, who are they fucking kidding? The acting noms are pretty much spot on. I am pleased with the Best Picture pics. There were others I'd like to have seen get nominated, but each of the noms is in my top 10 of the year, so I can't complain. No Lust, Caution for Best Foreign Language Film? Does it have something to do with the NC-17? But Norbit? Do they just feel sorry for it because it got brutalized by critics and the general public? It just makes no sense. Glad to see that Hairspray didn't get any noms. That fucking bitch that got nominated for supporting actress at the golden globes was so annoying. I'm so glad she didn't get a nom. I guess she wasn't flipping tables over when they read out the Oscar noms, lol. If you saw the GG show, you'll know what I mean. No There Will Be Blood for best original score? Just from the trailer I can tell it's fucking awesome.
