| In my previous email I wrote Philip Marlowe. I mean, of course, Christopher Marlowe:) But my best bet for a good movie would be Kwame Nkrumah because he was the first true African leader, and because his fate ended in coup, exile and paranoia. What followed was 10 years of chaos in Ghana. That was the end of the pan African dream, and also I think the end of an Africa that would rise from the ashes of colonialism. In stead, there was CIA plots, power struggles etc etc. (and eventually dictatorship) And Nkrumah lived in exile claiming that there were people out to get him, very tragic. His tragedy was bigger than himself: it was the tragedy of post colonial Africa. Anyway, this is just my opinion. I will stop now and not write more emails. Mike |
