Brendan Fraser is seriously such an underrated actor. He brings so much to just about everything he does, especially in the Mummy movies and this movie too. Without, the movie wouldn't been nearly as much fun as it is. Not to say that the movie is bad. Infact, I had a great time. It's very funny and exciting and the 3D effects are absolutely awesome. But Fraser's contribution should not be ignored either. Without him to anchor the movie and without the fun chemistry he has with Josh Hutcherson and the actress who plays the guide, the movie wouldn't been nearly as emotionally involving and that is what makes this movie to me actually work beyond the 3D gimmick. 7/10
