Some great dark comedy throughout 3/4 of the movie, and the last part was pretty tense and sick. A black comedy for sure, there're some great quotes from this: "That's for John Lennon ya yankee fuckin' cunt!" and "You leave my cunt fucking kids out of this!" Farrell's best performance to date IMO. I think he's a damned good actor, and it's nice to see him use his regular Irish accent for a change. Also enjoyed Gleeson as his gay friend, they had a good chemistry working together I thought. Fiennes was just a rotten motherfucker, did a helluva job as well. Excellent flick. |
