| Face it , this thread will never die . I think the real issue here is that some people simply can't get over the fact that there are some people that loved SR , regardless of it's box office performance . It's so much easier to accept a film that made a bunch of money , because you feel justified , well , i don't give a rat's bum how much it made anymore , to me the movie is much more than tracking numbers , imdb reviews , critics reviews , i don't care what the heck the tomato says about the film , mash the thing up and make some pizza for all i care . I think this is an amazing film that redefines what cinema is about , it's an experience i'll never forget and i wish the dvd was out already . Unless they close this thread , i'll keep on posting here , and once the dvd comes out , i'll be posting even more , so you either accept that some people liked it , or just don't bother reading or coming in here . I don't mean that as a wiseguy , because i respect your opinion , you have to understand though , SR had a profound impact on at least two shmoes , Max and me ( wasn't that a movie ? ) , and we enjoy sharing our enthusiasm for it . And really , it doesn't matter if it's primarily only two people getting giddy over it , it is the SR thread after all , what does it matter if it's only one person , we don't need people's approval concerning the films we like . I don't need validation from anyone that the film was good , i made up own mind when i watched it . |
