It's just that Speed Racer manages to be both emotionally stimulating and visually spectacular...which is something that very few movies are able to do. And "spectacular" doesn't just mean "pretty". It means redefining the rules of what aesthetic cinema can achieve. So yeah, it's a great film. No "second ejaculation" or anything, but it's still great.
