His movies look beautiful, theres no denying that. Well, it was Bourne who brought up watching Pulp Fiction with the sound off. I'm just entertaining his notion. I think his point was that Pulp Fiction's narrative sustains itself even without dialogue. Which it does at some points (e.g. the Butch storyline), but not at most others. And no, Tarantino's visuals are generally pretty lame. It wasn't until Kill Bill that he got his ass off the steady cam and actually started to use the camera in inventive ways.
