And I've said that the Butch storyline is an example of when Pulp Fiction hits its narrative stride. But could you imagine watching scenes like the restaurant scene between Vincent and Mia with the sound off? A narrative nightmare. I just think that most of his films are rather flawed. His signature dialogue often serves as a pace killer that begins to really grate on repeat viewings, and all his characters seem to talk in that same eccentric speech pattern. It's these things that warrant taking points off his films. |
