Topic: Steel Book series Forum: JoBlo

I open them up, throw out all the inserts and paper, and give the steelbook case to my 3 year old to play with. She just loves banging them against her doll house and stomping on them. On a serious note, I open them up and watch them when I can, unless it's an extra for trade. I like to check out what they did inside the steelbook as well, and it's kind of hard to look at the insde of a sealed one. I also started keeping the shrinkwrap they come in to keep them from rubbing up against each other. I use a knife to cut the top open, and I slide them back into the shrinkwrap when I put it back on the shelf. I couldn't imagine buying two of each one for my collection. I'll get an extra every now and then, but that is only for future trades, not as part of my collection. I don't have the funds to have two of every steelbook I want. I think the only one I probably wouldn't open would be something like the Appleseed w/ figure one. I don't have it, I just have the steelbook. If I ever get it, I'm sure I wouldn't open it since I already have the steelbook. I do have the Hellsing vol 1 with Arucard figure, and it's still sealed for now. I plan on opening it though 'cos it's simply shrinkwrapped together, unlike the Applseed one encased in plastic.
