| The thing that I really couldn't get into was the dysfunctional family aspect of some scenes. The bickering between Karen Allen, Shia and Ford grew tiresome within seconds and had a real sitcom feel to it. Also, the scene where Ford is sinking in sand but starts lecturing to Shia was such sitcom bullshit. And I also disliked that the trio was indestructible. Falling down huge waterfalls, driving on the side of cliffs, it was all done with such winky nonchalance. The movie was actually quite boring because I never believed the characters were in danger. I expected a cheesy ending because it is a Spielberg movie, but it didn't make it any less disappointing to watch. 4/10 |
