Painful dialogue, unrealistic reaction from the parents after *that scene*, no character development, not scary, not as disturbing as I thought from hearing about it... The rock music intro and ending was awful. I will never get my time back for seeing this crap. What was the director going for? We are obsessed with violence? A quote from him would have sufficed. Or maybe someting along the lines of "No Country for Old Men" that gets the point across and is ACTUALLY entertaining and has a redeeming storytelling quality. I don't think anyone would disagree we are obsessed with violence as a country. If that was the message, this was painful to watch. And no, the irony is not brilliant. |
