One of the majoring arguing points that was made in the beginning of this thread was that because all the studios passed on M Night and he had to find financing himself it is the beginning of the end for him. But studios passing on directors or films means absolutely nothing, my example showed that Columbia passed on all five best picture nominees for 2004, yet everyone of those movies ended up being made. If the movie is good it will get made even if its gets passed on by a few studios. The fact that a sequel to Deuce Bigalo also getting made just proves the point the movie doesn't even need to be good to get made it just needs a name to attached to it or to be known. M Night is known and he will still be able to get movies made even if it takes him going to multiple studios. |
