Anybody remember The Secret of Nimh? This was one of Don Bluths first animated films ever, actually I think it was the first one before he started with the Land Before Time films (of which only the first is watchable) and An American Tail and All Dogs go to Heaven films... The Company of Wolves was like a weirded out version of Little Red Riding Hood...I remember liking it. Theres a scene on it thats really jaw dropping (literally! he heh) Dont know how many of you guys are Manga fans out there, but Nausicaa of the Valley fo the Wind was the first film directed by the great Miyasaki. This is the one that started it all...and quite honestly? Its one of his best! It has a princess protecting her village from an evil goverment that wants to resurrect this ancient god who will devour everything in its path...truly amazing animation and an inspiring eco friendly story make this one a true keeper. Highly recommend it to those who like good fantasy films. More 80s cheese fantasy. Anyone seen this one? Got any opinions on it? Ive never seen it! Im a huge fan of this flick here. Splash was one of Ron Howards first films ever and it stars Darryl Hannah as the mermaid and it has Tom Hanks back in the days when he was still doing comedy. Another great bonus: John Candy plays Tom Hanks porn obsessed brother! Anyone remember this great 80s fantasy?
