The one point I grant Lee is that black people may well have been involved with Iwo Jima. Could Eastwood have put in a few black people in the troupe? Probably....but it wouldn't necessarily have added anything. If we saw any black/white racial issues in his film, it probably would have detracted from the focus his main plotline. |
