Not that this is really significant, but I'd thought I'd note that there is a glimpse of African-American soldiers in Flags of our Fathers in the sequence where the soldiers on en route to Iwo Jima. Of course, someone like Spike is too busy b!tching to notice this, but I'd say it renders his claim of no such presence in that film pointless.
