I hate how people like him are all like "Oh the black man has been held down for so many years and we want equality" yet EVERYTHING to them is BLACK & WHITE.. how can we ever be equal if all you people ever do is fucking bitch and moan and make sure to point out EVERYTHING that separates us, yet never highlight the points that unite us! He then says that black ppl dont get a fair shake in WW2 flicks... which 1) Get off your ass and make a World War 2 movie that is ACCURATE and have your main character be a black dude.. if it bothers you THAT fucking much, quit making stupid ass movies like Girl 6 and Crooklyn and make a WW2 flick that tellss the story from an African Americans POV.. but then knowing Lee, he wont have any white people in the movie.. cuz u know, he is a fucking racist and all 2) i seem to remember the movie Pearl Harbor, featured Cuba Gooding Jr kickin some Kamikaze ass hole and portraying the first african american man to ever recieve some award from the Navy. Albeit, Pearl Harbor was technically before the US entered WW2, but around the same time! man, i fuckin hate Spike Lee... he has some talent in him (who doesnt enjoy Do The Right Thing) but more times than not, he is trying to stir the racial pot, when that pot is damned near empty (which isnt too say that Racism doesnt exist, it sure does, and it is a 2 way street) but to go out LOOKING for something to bitch and moan about, is ridiculous... besides CLint Eastwood is a GAZILLION times better a filmmaker than Lee will EVER be... Eastwood is focusing on plot and pace and look... while Lee is focusing on Controversy... which makes for a better film??? |
