The trailer for Sex and the City didn’t appeal to me in the slightest, nor do I like the actors involved or think the story about these four NYC-based women is interesting. And this is without mentioning that I found the television series to be very boring, very unfunny, and somewhat obnoxious. If I enjoyed the show, and liked the trailer and the cast, I’d be more than happy to see Sex and the City. But I don’t. It’s just my personal opinion. That makes me a misogynist in your eyes? Please. Your statement most certainly doesn’t apply to me, nor do I think it applies to any heterosexual male or, for that matter, anybody else who plans on skipping Sex and the City at the movie theater, on DVD, and on cable. Isn’t Pride & Prejudice a chick flick? And what about Mean Girls, Dan in Real Life, Bring It On, Waitress, The Importance of Being Earnest, Mostly Martha, Jerry Maguire, Pretty in Pink, etc. etc. Are those not chick flicks as well? I enjoyed all of those films and own each one on DVD. I’m not anti-women or anti-chick flick, I’m merely anti-Sex and the City. A misogynist, you say? Give me a break. Strider |
