However, I will say that the excessive violence wasn't necessary. Still a shocking and effective film, but it's not one that'll appeal to average movie goers. Sounds like you're saving the worst for last by putting off Frontiers(s). That film lacks all of the decent elements of Inside. It's one big gruesome, contrived, tasteless mess of a "horror film", or whatever it claims it is. Awesome tidbit about Inside: (***Minor Spoilers****) After watching the movie for the first time, I went back and watched the scene in which Sarah is taking pictures of the couple with the child in the park again. The killer can be clearly seen in the corner of the screen, right next to the bushes in the background, just like Sarah discovers later in the film when looking at the developing pictures. (***End Minor Spoilers***) I might give the film another viewing sometime to see if there are any more little interesting details I didn't catch the first time around. Sadly, I've yet to see REC; I'm hoping for a Region 1 release sometime soon. |
