I'm sorry guys, I'm so sorry. Speed Racer bombed to hell and was ripped apart by people, it tanked and did horrible. But how could I have been so blind? I'm sorry that I didn't think it's anything like the incredible Pixar movies that come out and make insane amount of cash and are regarded as some of the best movies ever made... I'm sorry that I didn't think this movie was anything like the dark and heatedly debated over it's insane greatness epic Blade Runner. Speed was the best movie of the year, hands down.. the depth and layers of that movie were out of this world. Did you catch that monkey's performance? It must have been breathtaking to say the least.. a cinematic wonder. It wasn't just made for a summer popcorn movie explosion of sugar coated stupidity.. it was made for a run at the Academy Awards. It was made to win Best Picture, and even Best Direction by those incredible Wachowski Brothers, that ruined a great franchise. I'm sorry I've been so blind.. I'm now eagerly awaiting the chance to see this movie for myself, this.. Speed Racer.. this epic piece of modern cinema history, that could go down as one of the finest pieces of art ever put onto the screen. I can't wait to see the emotional responses and engaging storyline that this movie has to offer me, I just can't. I also can't take people that take their love of the movie way too far, that is this entire thread. MadMax I used to think you were a cool guy, but then you started blatantly attacking me for defending the Pixar movies. Whats up? I wasn't even attacking you at all, or even responding to anything you said. Just against the comparisons that I didn't see. You're becoming way too personal with this movie, you have nothing to do with Speed Racer you are just a fan.. its not your newborn child, relax. So long Speed thread, I shall never return. PS, glad the movie bombed to hell... if so many people loved it so much.. don't you think it would have made more then What Happens in Vegas or Made of Honor? EHHH.. that sucks. |
