| Comparing Speed Racer to Wall-E, or any Pixar film in general is absurd in my opinion. Pixar films, although they have simple plots, seem to always find that originality that lacks in a lot of kids films. There is so much heart, the voices are always top-notch, the stories are inventive and although simple always very original, and they look absolutely stunning. The dialogue is always very good, creative and original, and not just a homage to how three year olds talk like in Speed Racer. Saying schmoes shouldn't like Wall-E if they didn't like Speed Racer is absolutely stupid. That's like saying if I didn't like Rebound, I shouldn't like Hoosiers. |
