Topic: Netflix gone digital... Forum: JoBlo
I actually just joined Netflix for the first time at the beginning of this month. I always said I wasn’t interested, that renting has never been my thing (it hasn’t) and I’d rather just go to the movies and/or buy the DVDs I want to see. But as there are more and more movies lately coming out that I end up missing in theaters, and as I’m realizing I’d rather buy DVDs of movies I plan on watching more than once and not just having a ridiculously large collection of stuff I will never watch again, I decided to give Netflix a try. So far I’m loving it. The turn around time for mailing discs out and getting new ones back is fantastic. And they really do have a brilliant selection of DVDs. I found a film while reading Film Comment the other day that seems like it might be not the easiest to find, and I went on Netflix and sure enough there is was. Very cool. As for this new device…meh. I just warmed up to the Netflix via mail approach, I’m not ready to invest in anything else with them. I take time to warm up to these things.
