Topic: Lets discuss The Temple of Doom. Forum: JoBlo
While Raiders is clearly the better film of the series, Temple will always remain my favorite. Something about the quick pace, rapid action, and over the top dark tone of the film keep me coming back time and time again. Watching Temple of Doom only exposes the flaws of Crystal Skull even more so. Harison Ford turns in his best performance as Indiana Jones here (compared to the lifeless cardboard stand in we got in KOTCS) and the energy sprawled off by the real stunts taking place makes the CGI in KOTCS look rediculous and cartoonish. Having said that, I do agree on one of TOD'S major flaws: Willie. This girl is rediculously intolerable; Indy should have left her at the bar. She's got to be one of the most annoying movie characters of all time and damn near ruins one of my favorite action films ever. I had no idea people dislike short round until I read this thread, I love that kid! I thought everyone else did too! What's not to love about him, seriously. If hollywood sidekicks or child actors were half as good as that these days the casts of every show on the disney channel would be out of a job.
