| This is definatly an awesome movie, and i honestly think it better than last crusade. Last Crusade, If it wasnt for the Connery/Ford duo i'm sure Last Crusade woul be looked upon as the least of the original 3. It just either not written or not edited right in some bits, maybe it's in the characters, but in some bits things just happen too conveninetly & quickly (Indy in the Library/Church, Nazi chick jumping for the grail) to forward the plot (compared to the first 2 movies) ....am i the only one that see's that!? Anyways i gotta agree with what's been said about Temple's tone and pulpyness, i think that's right on. While i find the stumbling on the stolen rock thing a bit too convenient, i let it slip because evrything else in this movie is just done to perfection. Everything leads to each other pretty naturally and just framed so beuatifully. Plus the villains - yeah they aren't "christian" like Raiders or Crusade but thats one of the good things. It's different, it stands out, and it's cool. Everythign in this is a tad more stylized, and it goes with the intentions and i think while Raiders may be the better overall adventure, this one does sure as hell stand out greatly from the crowd. Awesomeness defined. 9/10 |
