So it got me thinking what critically acclaimed movie that are considered all time classic and beloved movies did I dislike or hate. Gone with the Wind, this movie drives me crazy. It is three hours of Scarlet going through all these horrible things to end the movie the same way she began the movie a rich little spoiled brat you want to slap tell your hand goes numb. I agree with Butler frankly my dear I don't give a damn about you nor this movie. 2001: A Space Odyssey, which is strange as I am a huge Kubrick fan. This movie is just so bleeding boring, I understand all the revolutionary effects and cinematography but that just doesn't make up for the movie being so damn dull. Honestly 22 minutes of apes growling at each other could not have been done in 2 or 3 minutes, I always though Kubrick was laughing at people who praised him for this film with that first scene that is so endless. Titanic, the first half of the movie is actually not to bad as I am huge history buff and they did an amazing job and recreating this short glimpse into history. But the whole love story is ridiculous and horrible and the movie has to be one of the most anticlimatic movies of all time. The climax should have been the ship sinking but instead it becomes the death of a fictional character. Terrible terrible way to end a movie. Out of Africa, this movie makes 2001 look like a Jerry Bruckheimer film. This has to be one of the single most boring movies ever made in the history of film. I also don't think Meryl Streep is that great of an actress I can't think of a single film I liked her in. |
