Of course, the sheer volume of reviews on there (including from places like this) means that it doesn't take an awful lot for a "passably entertaining" movie like Iron Man probably is to have most people giving it 6/10 or above, thus making it rack up its 94% rating. A more respectable rating would be the Top Critics Tomatometer, which pegs the movie at 77%, which seems more realistic for the type of movie I think this will be. The average rating for Iron Man is nearly 8/10, including the negative and mediocre reviews, so obviously there are plenty of great reviews which are not outliers. And the top critic is actually at 91%. |
