It's to note that this would be the FIRST YEAR in a long, long time that the OSCARS have actually chosen some "cool" movies as their BEST PICTURE nominees, as opposed to shit like QUEEN ELIZABETH and OUT OF AFRICA. The fact that the Oscars are picking movies like JUNO, NO COUNTRY and THERE WILL BE BLOOD tells me that THEY are starting to change a little bit...NOT the other way around. I think they realize that they have to start connecting with the "every man" out there a little more. |
