Well remember "Cloverfield" isn't a normal movie, and it calls for an abnormal sequel. We're not going to see "Rob Strikes Back" here, it's sure to be something very unique. Besides, there's SO much story in this universe. You could make it about Tagruato's corruptness, Slusho, the activist group Teddy joined, even an "Apollo 13" like part of the story with the satellite, it can literally go anywhere.
