From the trailer I saw I was expecting a funny quirky Snatch type of movie. I didn't think the two films had a lot in common at all, other than I enjoyed them both. In Bruge is probably the best black comedy I've ever seen, and is probably on my top 10 movie list. I'm going to go see it again to be sure. The dialogue was hilarious, and some of the best I've seen. I know some people said this wasn't really a comedy, but I laughed more through this movie then any actual comedy I've seen in a long long time. It is a character study kind of movie, slower than snatch but in my opinion it is the better movie. Don't expect tons of gunfights or anything, but you can expect some hilarious lines and the best part I've seen Colin Farell in yet. 9.5/10 |
