You say that all episodes are the same. Ok, that proof enough to realize you have never seen any episode. You probably saw like 2 minutes of an episode and concluded that all of DB and DBZ was the same. I could explain you why Dragonball is all the contrary of what you are saying. But to explain that I would have to explain the whole plot and sagas and that would take like 3 pages long and you wouldnt want to read that, so ill make this short. Dragon Ball (from Child Goku to Late teen Goku): -If you see the first episode of Dragonball you see a kid (Goku) who lives in the wilderness alone... -If you move foward a few episodes you will see he is training with Master Roshi, preparing them for the first tournament... -Move foward and you will have the first tournament in which Goku losses the final to "Jackie Chan" who happens to be Master Roshi in a disguise. -If you move foward you will see how he destroys the Red Ribbon Army (which happens to be a mix between the Nazi army and the Soviet Red Army) that is wreacking havoc in the whole world trying to look for the Dragon Balls. He destroys its bases 1 by 1, until he reaches the main base and take down its main leader Commander Red (actually Redīs right hand called Black, is the one who kills Red with a shoot in his head, and then Goku kills Black)... -If you move foward you will see him in the second tournament where he losses the final to Tenshinhan... -In the episode where Tenshinhan beats Goku in the final of the tournament, when they go to celebrate, Krillin gets killed by "something", then Master Roshi reads the card with a symbol that was left in the place where Krillin was killed and realizes King Piccolo is back... -Move foward and you will see Goku killing King Piccolo in their second fight (in their first fight King Piccolo owned Goku with ease), King Piccolo throws an egg which happens to have his reincarnation/son, Piccolo JR... -Move foward and many years have gone, Goku is in his late teen years and Piccolo JR has grown up to avenge his father, you will have the third and last tournament of Dragonball. Goku and Piccolo JR fight in the final and destroy the whole tournament arena, they fight an intense bloody battle until Goku finally beats Piccolo JR, Goku finally wins a tournament. Goku has the chance to KILL Piccolo JR, but he forgives him and let him live. Piccolo JR leaves promising that he will avenge his father and that "this isnt over"... -Goku and Chichi get married... End of Dragon Ball Number of episodes: 153 Note: a lot of things happen in these 153 episodes, the story is much more complex than what I wrote. Im just writing that to show you that saying that each episode is the same is ridiculous. Please man if you dont know what you are talking about, then dont talk about it, because to say each episode is the same its stupid. Now we will begin with DBZ where the story becomes more interesting. Dragonball Z (from Young Adult Goku to Grandfather Goku) -Goku and Chichi have a 4 years old baby named "Gohan". -A strange warrior from space arrives. It turns out to be Gokuīs biological brother named Raditz. Raditz explains to Goku that his real name is "Kakarot" and he is a Saiyan, a strong warrior race that only has 4 remaining living people, being Raditz and Goku 2 of them. Raditz tries to "recruit" Goku, but Goku refuses to kill people. Raditz then kidnaps Gokuīs son Gohan. Piccolo and Goku join forces to face this greater threat and both Raditz and Goku die. Raditz tells them that 2 more Saiyans who happen to be stronger are going to arrive in 1 year. These 2 saiyans happen to be Nappa and Vegeta... -Move foward, Goku has trained in the other world and the other warriors have trained too. Piccolo decided to train Gohan in that year and began having good feelings with Gohan. Piccolo becomes like a "father figure" for Gohan in that year. The 2 Saiyans arrive. They kill everyone. Piccolo sacrifies himself for Gohan, a lot of people get killed. Goku arrives and beats Nappa with ease, but Nappa is killed by Vegeta who doesnt tolerate losses. Then begins the battle between Goku and Vegeta. Vegeta suffers his first great humiliation when he gets beaten by a "low class level soldier", because Vegeta used to be the Prince of their planet, Vegeta leaves the planet injured... If you want to see this part in a video, here I show you 3 videos I created of this Saiyan Saga: Part 1: Triple W.youtube.com/watch?v=Fa6r4Y2eGzQ Part 2: Triple W.dailymotion.com/video/x1s2l7_invasion-sayajin_fun Part 3: Triple W.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0Et4tsWMT0 Ill stop here because this is becoming a long thread. The story becomes even more interesting (notice this is a half-asses resume, Im missing a lot of interesting facts to make this thread short). The story and the characters evolve. They have a change of heart. Gohan grows and becomes a father, at the end of DBZ he is as strong as Goku (or the strongest of them all, this can be argued). In the first saga, Goku avenges his people by beating Frieza who was the responsible for extincting the Saiyan race and their planet, in the second saga, a young warrior called Trunks comes from the future to warn Goku and the rest of the androids, but in a twist turn of events, the real villain happens to be Cell who becomes the perfect warrior by absorbing the other androids. Gohan kills Cell in an epic battle. In the last saga, an ancient demon called Majin Buu is released, this Buu monster turns out to be the strongest and most evil being in the entire series and a lot of chaos, mass murderings and battles begin, etc etc. My point with this thread is that to say each episode is the same is stupid, because the story moves foward, it evolves, the character development is also great. To say this show is stupid and immature is to say that you havent seen it, unless you saw the butchered Cartoon Network version. But the original version is great and doesnt censor anything. Why wouldn't I want to go deeper. I dont wanna offend any comic book fans, since I tend to respect other stories and their fans, but DB and DBZ is more deep and has a more developed and interesting storyline than any comic released so far, thats why DB and DBZ have fans all over the world. If you want to blind yourself into thinking that DB and DBZ is about trading cards and about 50 episodes long fights, then go ahead, keep making a fool of yourself. By the way, in those 500 episodes A LOT, I mean, A LOT of things happen and the plot just keeps changing and turning better and better. So please, if you are going to make fun of something, know a little about it first. |
