The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor Trailer Description Written by Silas Lesnick Thursday, 13 March 2008 Universal just screened the very first trailer for The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor here at Showest in Las Vegas It opens in China near the great wall where Brendan Fraser and friends open an enormous tomb filled with stone warriors. Someone explains that every warrior is completely different and that legend tells that a warlord and his army were turned to stone and have been entombed there since. Someone trips a switch which causes the temple to go into clockwork-motion, bringing the stone warriors to life. We get lots of scenes of Brendan Fraser running around China and a fair amount of neat-looking CGI creatures including a big, white Mugatu-looking gorilla and a Hydra. .there's a funny argument between Fraser and his son Alex, who is older than he was in the previous movie, this time played by Luke Ford, as they argue about how to deal with the situation. Rick tells his son that he's defeated two mummies, but Alex corrects him that he only fought and defeated one mummy, which Rick shouts back, "Twice!" There's also a great CGI shot of airplanes strafing a field of living stone warriors. I've gotta admit that while I've never been a fan of franchise, these special effects were truly impressive
