There's no doubt that Ebert totally takes him, both in taste and in understanding the essence of movies, although I agree that sometimes his reasons for disliking a movie are completely loony (he gave a poor review for Spielberg's War of the Worlds because "he didn't like the way the triopds looked". I mean, come ON!) |
