I go for big picture, big sound, seeing it with an audience. At least in theory. But theaters are so shitty so often these days it ruins that. I'm still not totally sure I buy that either. With home entertainment systems becoming what they are you can have a pretty good personal scale movie-watching experience. And, frankly, with the exception of a few films (i.e. Star Wars of Transformers) I'd still rather watch a movie with a small group at home than in a theater. Cell phones and people who refuse to hire babysitters really ruin the theater experience. Besides, it's not like people have stopped going to movies altogether. As you can tell from box office numbers, Hollywood's problem isn't getting the money to roll in, it's all the money rolling out. They need to cut WAY back on the number of movies being produced and start realizing that movies really can't afford to be "big name" driven anymore, at least not if those big names demand far too much of the profit.
