Topic: What became of Alan Rickman? Forum: Film Hobbit

I hate it when an actor does a good job with a crappy under-written villain role and so gets typecast as the badguy from there on out. You could say this has happened to both Sean Bean and Jean Reno, i'd hate it to happen to an actor of Alan Rickmans quality. He has a pile of work out there, but it does tend to be smaller more quirky and interesting roles. And H2G2 was awesome.
