They hate anything that doesn't agree with the critical consensus. It doesn't matter what you actually say about a movie, it doesn't matter if it's good or not, doesn't matter if your review is positive, all they care about is that your review falls in line with what everyone else is saying. The weird irony of all those regular RT users is that they only READ reviews which don't agree with the Tomameter. So while they bitch a lot, they actually support people who disagree with their preconcieved notions of what a review should be, and shun anyone who says what they want them to. I'm sure they have no idea they are doing this, but it's a wonderful irony. If I'd written a negative review of In the Name of the King, none of them would have ever read it. |
