Sin City is probably one of my favorite uses of CGI because its not supposed to be too real. Its more of an exaggerated style that also suited the comics it came from. Probably my favorite comic book movies done in a time that was being inundated with them simply because its one of the few that stuck to its roots adaptation wise. Agreed on the CG in the LoTR trilogy being darn good as well. As for the stuff that's bad, I'm generally forgetful of cause they are usually forgetful films. I did however recently catch the latest Die Hard movie. While the CG looked ok, I just think something was lost by things not being done practically and in camera like the first as much as could be. But then I suppose its not just a question of topping the other flicks, but a question of what can and can't be safely done practically. I give it a little slack there, but its not a movie I'd particularly care to watch again.
