Topic: Juno - Discuss It Forum: Film Hobbit

My friend dragged me to Juno tonight. She said it would be "good for me," because I too am 16 and pregnant. Although I'm only 12 weeks along, it has been fairly different than in the movie. Don't get me wrong, I actually liked the film a lot. But it doesn't seem to ring with my reality. First off, my parents were not cool like that when I dropped the bomb. It was more like an actual bomb being dropped. They're adjusting now, but things are still pretty weird. Secondly, I was not cool either. Juno didn't seem that traumatized by the whole thing. I cried for about four days. My boyfriend (the father) is still in shock and he was the first person I told. I am against abortion and even though I really really really don't want to do this, I'm carrying until term. I will also be giving up for adoption. We haven't found a family yet, but needless to say we're not search the ads in the paper for one. All in all it was a good movie. The acting was good and the dialogue was funny, but it just seemed a little unrealistic. Then again - it is a movie.
