Did you know that Passion of the Christ is an allegory for Aztec Sun Worship? They practiced human sacrifice after all, and note the way the sun goes down in the film as Jesus dies. I just don't get why this is such a big deal. People act like the influence of Christianity is some sort of proof of their faith... or conversely some affront to it. The reactions seem to run the gamit. I don't see why anyone has any reaction at all.... maybe some people have never read books or seen movies before. That is my only explanation. What do you expect after centuries of oppression... sorry rephrase... creative faith building.... by the Christian Church? Of course their teachings are going to work their way into every part of everyone's life.
