Good lord, everybody bought a CB radio in my little hometown of Arcadia, California. However, I think we already had our CBs before this movie. I don't recall this movie's having had any influence at all on CB buying. In fact, I remember that song "Convoy" being a lot more popular than the "Bandit" movie, & "Convoy" is what made everyone buy a CB. I was wondering about that song myself, but I couldn't recall if it came before or after BANDIT. Convoy (the song) came out in November 1975. The movie version of the song came out in 1978.
