If so, then here's a question from me: Have you learned nothing? No, the point is/was whether you are p.c. or not, which has nothing to do with anything I claim, and I said to grade yourself. Only you know your answers. I suspect that your answers (actually opinions, not factual answers) would indicate to you that you are indeed quite p.c., and I, not you, may be the least p.c. person that Rich knows. Aha... this is all about p.c.-envy. I hadn't understood... You understood all right. No, with no disingenuity, humorous or otherwise: I Hadn't Understood. I'd thought you "guffawed" at my claim of non-p.c.-ness... whereas, apparently, you'd merely felt your own stature dissed... No, that was merely a minor afterthought, which could have been left off of the last sentence of the paragraph in question, above. As is so common and frustrating on usenet, the minor point will be siezed upon and made to seem to overshadow the intended one. Currently the U.S. is hostilly divided in this way, maybe as much as ever before. That you may not choose to associate your state of mind with this eternal conflict does not make it less real, and certainly does not make it *my* world. You are the one, it appears, withdrawing into some non-political fantasy about yourself, while you still participate in the debate. It's really quite odd. |
