There is no HDTV debate, as far as anyone else is aware of. When everything went to color, did you stop watching black & white? Or you one of THOSE? No, but at least when we had color, for how long did we have whiners saying "Oh, so you can see the color of the newscasters' clothes now, what an innovation to spend $150 bucks on!"? Color came in gradually, and consumers didn't really have to do anything apart from decide when to buy a set. Portables were B&W for quite some time, if memory serves, and we didn't get a color set until the early 70's (saw the last moon landing on a B&W set). I'm probably in the modern group you're complaining about, in that I honestly don't care about HD. If my current set dies I'll get one, yes, but I won't bother with HD programing (my sister hasn't bothered to upgrade her cable to HD on her new tv, so no I don't know what I'm missing, but neither do I care ^_^) -- Chris Mack "Refugee, total shit.
