How many have they released in the past five years? So, I guess the answer is "No." Here we have yet another example of Rich talking out his ass about a movie he hasn't seen. Well, color me surprised! Don't you EVER get tired of wanking on about things you have no clue about Rich? Oh . . . and to stay on topic, "The Golden Compass" was pretty damn far from "cookie-cutter." Which is probably why it struggled to find an audience. People didn't know what to make of it. Grown-up themes, interesting - though violent - story, young protagonists so it was advertised as a "kids movie" when anyone who read the books could tell them it wasn't. Gorgeous fantasy look. And, unlike you, I DID see it. elizabeth I'm hoping they do all three films, and just wait for the public to catch on. Then they can repackage the DVDs about ten times to make a nice profit. --
