And while 300 was stunning to look at, it was a pretty flat presentation for the most part. Simple visual design, really. Not simple in execution, but visually simple in the final product. The movie had an eerie look to it, and it was like a moving comic book. They did a good job. But once I saw it, I never really desired to see it again, because once I got over the novelty of the look, I was done with it. YOU, on the other hand, are taken more by some perceived right-wing message. For my money, SIN CITY, which employed the same aesthetics, was better. I did watch that one three times. If you take that away, what's really left for you? It's the equivalent of a video game, and in a sense just a cookie-cutter theme. --
