Because its the normal Democrat form of politics. Yet another lie. Your denial of the realities of politics is noted, examined and discarded as the venial comments of a biased useful idiot. When in doubt, insult, right? Quote: They are now running shit scared as the nation is swinging Right..and they have become a party of loons, extremists and utter idiots. Of course, this sort of nonsense is just childish. However, I'll make you a bet that Bush doesn't get re-elected. Time will tell, no? And if Bush wins, will you and the rest of the Left commit sepuku? What makes you think I'm "of the left"? Is it only "lefties," to borrow your pejorative, who don't want Bush re-elected? Conservatives are, first and foremost, fiscally responsible. George Bush has raised spending dramatically while cutting tax income. The result is an enormous deficit. Is that good conservative thinking? Conservatives want smaller government. George Bush has created two new departments, each with their own bureaucracies. The Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Faith Based Initiatives didn't exist under Clinton. How necessary are they, particularly the latter? Conservatives want government off their back and respect states rights. George Bush has made a priority the no-gay marriage amendment. Doesn't this tread on the rights of each state to determine what's best for their citizens? George Bush has tried to negate Roe v. Wade through executive order. Isn't that another states rights question? Since when does the federal government get to tell states that conduct, with no federal or national implications, is legal or illegal? Conservatives want to limit "gimmes." George Bush wants to spend 1 billion dollars promoting marriage. Isn't this simply another entitlement boondoggle? Conservatives want a strong defense. George Bush has left the homeland defenseless, while spreading our armed forces paper thin in an unnecessary war in Iraq. Is that good conservative thinking? Bill Clinton was a better conservative than George Bush, and that's not my quote. Quote:I know a goodly number of them will go completely bonkers. Though..Im still waiting for all the Hollywierd lefties who promised to move to Europe if Bush won the first time, to move. Seems they lied then too. I don't know anyone like that, and I suspect you don't either. Quote: Notice the Dems have no political platform they care to talk about and how many, No, I didn't notice that. I did notice that an awful lot of what Bush has done is completely inconsistent with conservative philosophy. What happened to the opposition to big government? Budget deficits? Getting government off the people's back? Indeed and here you and I can agree. Bush is a Moderate and we had hopes of electing a Conservative. Though its still better a moderate than a liberal. You mean someone like Clinton, who cut the deficit, instituted welfare-to-work and cut millions from the welfare rolls, shrank the size of government, respected states rights, didn't try to legislate people's bedroom activities? That kind of "liberal"? Quote: when asked directly if they are liberals, will admit to it? I know very few liberals who demonize conservatives the way conservatives demonize liberals. Why is that? You do live in a cave, right? No, I simply get my information from various news sources, rather than Limbaugh, Hannity and O'Reilly. Quote: Gunner "In my humble opinion, the petty carping levied against Bush by the Democrats proves again, it is better to have your eye plucked out by an eagle than to be nibbled to death by ducks." - Norman Liebmann Is what I wrote "petty carping levied against Bush" in your eyes? |
